Renesse is a small tourist village for familie holidays on Schouwen-Duiveland. This coastal town has beaches, terraces, shops and nightlife options. This is what makes our lovely town a popular holiday destination.


The beaches around Renesse are about 17km long and neighbours the forests of Westerschouwen. The beaches of Renesse have been awarded for their cleanliness multiple times. They’re divided in familie beaches, water sport beaches and nature beaches.

The town has a special connection with seals. They can be spotted on the sandbanks near the coast regurlarly


The Fjoertoer is a yearly event in Renesse. This evening walk over the beaches, through the woods and town of Renesse shows multiple illuminated object. Every year the route and objects are different.

Renesse has multiple events throughout the year, particularly in the summer.


The west coast of Schouwen-Duiveland is one of the most popular destinations in Zeeland. It’s an interesting destination because of its clean beaches and the versatility of the island itself. Biking, hiking, the water, the nature anything is possible on Schouwen-Duiveland. The villages and town are also quite divers. From the Monument city of Zierikzee till the fishing village of Bruinisse.

The ‘Kop van Schouwen’, as the area is called, has a lot of Dune sites, which cyclers, hikers, mountain bikers and other sporters will love. You can also find the biggest woods of Zeeland here: the Boswachterij Westerschouwen.

You could also walk for hours on the beaches or as we Dutch call it “Uitwaaien”(smell the fresh air and clear your mind)
